This is a foundational role for the TeraWave team. To further Blue Origins mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth we are bringing together technology from across our product lines to build the future of space-based communication.

This role will be onsite in Bay Area CA or Renton WA. It is approved for a temporary remote work exception while our local site is developed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop models and algorithm for the Terawave Custom Silicon This includes packet processing MAC PHY Radio DSP
• Drive for lowest power consumption and highest performance
• Target your algorithms for FPGA and ASIC implementation
• Support the ASIC implementation thru Pre-silicon verification
• Design advanced Digital end to end communication systems
• Develop and model Channel impairments models
• Work collaboratively with ASIC RFIC and SW implementation teams
• Work with the application team to Bring up prototype pre-silicon and support all post-silicon to validate your architecture performance

Basic Qualifications:

• 7 years of experience in Signal processing or Modem design and development
• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
• Experience with networking modem MAC and PHY DSP RF and/or Mixed Signal designs
• Experience with Matlab SystemC C/C or other System level tools
• Knowledge of DSP and communications systems including spread spectrum forward error correction and modulation types (OFDM QPSK QAM PCM/FM PAM)

• Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
