Job Summary:
As the Marine Account Manager you will serve as the primary customer-facing leader for strategic marine accounts owning day-to-day relationship management driving business objectives and ensuring timely effective resolution of customer issues.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop strong relationships with assigned marine accounts vessel designers and key influencers to position Caterpillar to execute on marine sales growth initiatives.

  • Collaborate with customers industry participants and Defense business development team to identify qualify and lead sales and service pursuits for assigned accounts.

  • Leverage customer and industry engagements (including trade shows) to gather market input shape requirements and improve win probability on key pursuits.

  • Maintain accurate opportunity award and pipeline data to support demand planning financial forecasting and business planning.

  • Manage opportunity development processes to ensure compliance with the organizations policies procedures and regulations.

  • Develop and communicate responses to customer technical inquiries via collaboration with subject matter experts with internal teams and industry partners.

  • Lead or support development of major proposals RFIs and white papers through collaboration within various Defense teams and cross-divisional business partners.


What You Will Have:
Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align marine customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the marine industry trends directions major issues regulatory considerations and trendsetters; ability to apply marine industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients vendors and peers.

Account Management: Knowledge of account management; ability to manage day-to-day activities providing services and support to existing and new clients.

Summary Pay Range:

$128470.00 - $192710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
