Department Details

Schedule:
8-hour day/evening shift float
Every 3rd weekend rotation in Emergency Department

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare laboratory specimens and related supplies in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines
Ensure the accuracy quality and integrity of laboratory data
Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment
Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members
Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall laboratory operations

Laboratory Assistant No certification or previous experience required ($16.00-25.50)
Senior Laboratory Assistant Requires active phlebotomy certification ($17.00-26.50)
Pathology Technician Bachelors degree required in biology or related subject ($23.50-36.00)

Summary

Responsibilities include phlebotomy collecting preparing and processing specimens biological specimens. Full time 36 hours a week day/evening float with ED weekend. Weekend requirement about every third weekend.

Job Description

Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred.



Completion of a formal phlebotomy program phlebotomy experience and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
