We work closely with industry partners and government bodies to translate discoveries into real-word impact. This role will specifically be working within the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

As a Lecturer in Nursing you will:

  • Lead innovative learnercentred curriculum design and deliver highquality researchinformed teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs.
  • Create inclusive accessible learning experiences through welldesigned unit materials collaborative learning opportunities and effective assessment practices with timely feedback.
  • Contribute to a culture of teaching excellence by mentoring colleagues engaging in pedagogical research and integrating emerging educational practices into unit delivery.
  • Drive impactful research by initiating and leading interdisciplinary projects securing funding building industry partnerships and translating findings into realworld outcomes.
  • Supervise Honours and HDR students to successful completion while fostering a research environment focused on innovation industry engagement and community impact.

To be successful youll have:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline (or equivalent qualifications/experience) with a strong record of scholarly teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs including innovative curriculum design.
  • An emerging research reputation demonstrated through quality publications successful funding applications and contributions that create impact within academic and professional communities.
  • Ability to lead and contribute to research teaching and administrative activities with strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to build effective collaborative working relationships.
  • Postgraduate qualification in mental health and demonstrated mental health nursing experience with current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Proven ability to translate research into community benefit contribute to disciplinary leadership and support a positive highperforming academic environment.

As a Senior Lecturer in Nursing you will:

  • Lead courselevel curriculum design and innovation collaborating across teaching teams to deliver inclusive researchinformed learning experiences and highquality assessment practices.
  • Integrate industry clinical and research insights into curriculum and student support to enhance engagement success and realworld relevance.
  • Build and mentor highperforming academic teams fostering a culture of educational excellence pedagogical innovation and scholarly teaching.
  • Drive significant contributions to pedagogical and disciplinary research securing funding leading collaborations and translating research into impactful policies frameworks and innovations.
  • Supervise and mentor HDR students and ECRs lead industryengaged research partnerships and build a growing national and emerging international academic reputation.

To be successful youll have:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline (or advanced qualifications and experience) with an excellent record of scholarly teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs including innovative curriculum design and research supervision.
  • Nationally recognised research profile demonstrated through highquality publications (and exhibitions where relevant) strong engagement with industry community and government and a growing leadership presence in teaching research and administration.
  • Proven ability to build effective academic relationships supported by excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
  • Postgraduate qualification in mental health and demonstrated mental health nursing experience with current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated capacity to contribute to the disciplines national standing through impactful research external engagement and leadership that strengthens teaching scholarship and professional practice.
