Surveillance Officer Position

Position Overview:

As a Surveillance/Security Officer at PowerPlay Global (Pty) Ltd. you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our live studio operations. Working within our state-of-the-art surveillance facilities you will monitor live gaming activities to detect and prevent fraudulent behaviour ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safeguard the interests of our players and the company.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Live Surveillance Monitoring:
   • Utilize advanced surveillance technology to monitor live gaming activities in real-time.
   • Maintain constant vigilance to identify any suspicious behaviour cheating or fraudulent activities.
   • Document and report any irregularities or incidents observed during surveillance operations.
2. Fraud Detection and Prevention:
   • Analyse gaming transactions and actions of presenters to detect potential instances of fraud or collusion.
   • Implement protocols and procedures to prevent cheating and ensure fair play in all gaming activities.
3. Regulatory Compliance:
   • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including gaming regulations and internal policies.
   • Keep abreast of changes in regulations and industry best practices to ensure the highest standards of compliance.
4. Evidence Gathering and Reporting:
   • Collect and preserve evidence of suspicious activities through video recordings and documentation.
   • Prepare detailed reports on surveillance findings and collaborate with internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities as necessary.
5. Team Collaboration:
   • Work closely with other surveillance officers and security personnel including the Surveillance Manager to coordinate surveillance efforts and share intelligence.
   • Communicate effectively with gaming floor staff and management to address security concerns and implement corrective actions.
6. Continuous Improvement:
   • Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance surveillance skills and knowledge of gaming regulations.
   • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving surveillance procedures and technology to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications :

Qualifications:

Qualification in Security Management or related field preferred.

Previous experience in surveillance security or law enforcement roles preferably in a casino or gaming environment.

Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in surveillance techniques and equipment operation.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for detecting patterns and anomalies.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written for documenting findings and interacting with colleagues. Ability to work under pressure and maintain focus during extended surveillance sessions.

Understanding of gaming regulations and compliance requirements.

Familiarity with computer systems and software for data analysis and report generation.
