Senior Retail Operations Specialist, Centre Store

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Retail Operations Specialist Centre Store on a permanent basis in our Food Operations team.

This position is aremoteopportunity and can be based acrossWestern Canada. However there is a requirement for in-person presence for team meetings and to provide local Co-op support.

As a Senior Retail Operations Specialist youll be the goto expert shaping how Centre Store programs come to life across FCL and Local Coops. Youll lead the development of bestinclass operational standards training and tools while partnering across Category Shared Services and operations teams to drive assortment optimization and category growth development through department floor planning This role blends strategic influence with handson leadership improving store performance execution and customer experience nationwide (with 20% travel).

What youll do:

• Serve as a strategic commodity subjectmatter expert supporting FCL Pod teams and Centre Store Operation Advisors to deliver programs aligned with business goals growth strategies and member expectations.
• Drive category growth and space optimization by identifying consumerrelevant opportunities leading space allocation initiatives and using datadriven insights to improve sales margin and return on space.
• Lead merchandising marketing and promotional programs including POS/POP signage strategy CASM feedback Blackhawk and gift card initiatives and clear promotional guidance to ensure strong instore execution.
• Collaborate crossfunctionally with Category Management Digital eCommerce Marketing Operations Food Safety and Consumer Products teams to optimize assortment private label omnichannel programs sanitation standards and operational efficiency.
• Develop and deliver operational standards and training including SOPs CRSwide training materials and facilitation of commodity and leadership training to drive consistent execution and continuous improvement.
• Have 6-9 years of retail sales/marketing experience.
• Have aBachelors Degree in Business Administration Commerce or Marketing.(a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
• Food Safety Certification is required.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Programs and Genesis Software is an asset.

The Team: You will report to and work closely with Senior Manager Centre Store Operations and work closely with Centre Store Operations Advisors other Commodity Specialists and Category teams providing technical product and program support.
