Position Summary:
TheStaffAccountantreports directly to theControllerand provides essential support to theFinance Departments daily roleassistswith routine accounting tasks monthly close activities and financial recordkeepingto ensureaccurateandtimelyfinancial reporting. The Staff Accountant plays a key role inmaintainingstrong internal controls supporting the DevelopmenttoFinance revenue pipeline and helping advance OMDs implementation of financial systems such as Ramp and Sage role is ideal for a detailoriented solutionsdriven accounting professional with nonprofit experience who thrives in a collaborativefastpaced hybridenvironment.
WhatYoullOwn:
Accounting & Financial Operations
Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assistwith monthend close activities including preparingjournal entries pulling reports and organizing support.
Complete routine general ledger reconciliations for cash prepaid expenses deposits and otheraccounts.
Supportrevenue accounting includingdaily creation of invoices reconciling Developmentfundraisingreports to Sage Intacctrevenue reports and ensuringtimelyrecording of allcashreceipts.
Enter and classify cash receipts; ensure proper coding aligned with OMDs chart of accounts and funding structure.
Support the full Accounts Payable (A/P) process by entering bills preparing payment batches routing approvals and processing reimbursements ensuring compliance with OMD policies and internal controls.
Assistinexpensingemployeebenefits costs(health dental vision life insurance) includingallocatingthese coststo funding sourcesand departments.
Assistin expensing payroll costs viajournals; oversee mapping of payrollcategories to Sage Intacct GL Accounts.
As needed leadreclassesofjournalssuchasforasadjustments toGLaccountfunding sources and/ordepartment.
Prepare and post journal entriesfollowinginternal documentation and control requirements.
Maintainaccurateauditreadyfilesaligned with GAAP FASB and OMDs internal policies.
Grants Compliance & Reporting
Helpmonitorrestricted and unrestricted grant expenditures in Sage Intacct.
Maintainrequiredvendor compliancedocumentationincluding W9 andassistwith1099 tracking.
Support audit preparation including schedules reconciliations documentation requests and testing samples.
Performadditionalprojects and tasks assigned by the Controller in support of broader Finance initiatives.
Systems Process Improvement & Collaboration
Assistwith the rollout and operational use of Ramp for expense management card controls and A/P automation.
Support improvements to the DevelopmenttoFinance revenue recording process including reconciling opportunity reports and communicating discrepancies.
Contribute to process documentation andongoingstrengthening ofinternal controls.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Education
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance ora relatedfield.
Experience and Skills
2years of accounting experience preferably in a nonprofit environment.
Proficiencyin accounting software; Sage Intacct strongly preferred.
Strong Excel skills including comfort withsmartformulas(SumifsVlookupetc) reconciliations and data analysis.
Familiarity with grant accounting and fund tracking.
Understanding ofGAAP FASB and nonprofit accounting standards.

Compensation and Benefits for Full-time Employees:
Salary $63500- $73000annually*
