Low Voltage Installation Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking 2 to 3 skilled Installation Technicians to join our growing team. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience professionally installing terminating programming and troubleshooting at least one of the following low voltage system types: CCTV/Video Surveillance Access Control Intrusion/Burglar Alarm or Fire Alarm systems. Key Responsibilities
Install terminate and test low voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6 coaxial fire-rated cable) per industry standards and local codes
Mount and configure cameras card readers door hardware motion detectors control panels and notification appliances
Program and configure system software controllers and head-end equipment
Perform system commissioning end-user training and final walk-throughs with clients
Read and interpret blueprints floor plans wiring diagrams and riser drawings
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely professional manner
Maintain accurate documentation including as-built drawings and service reports
Coordinate with general contractors electricians and other trades on job sites
Required Qualifications
3 to 5 years of professional experience installing at least one of the following: CCTV/Video Surveillance Access Control Intrusion Alarm or Fire Alarm systems
Strong knowledge of low voltage wiring practices NEC standards and applicable local/state codes
Ability to read blueprints schematics and technical documentation
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Must be able to lift 50 lbs work on ladders and perform physical tasks in various environments
Professional appearance and strong communication skills for client-facing interactions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multiple system types (CCTV Access Control Intrusion and/or Fire Alarm)
Manufacturer certifications (e.g. Axis Genetec Milestone Honeywell Bosch DMP Lenel HID)
NICET certification (Fire Alarm) or ESA/NTS certification
Experience with IP-based/networked security systems and basic networking knowledge
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
