Idaho Power located in vibrant Boise Idaho is looking for a Contract Manager to join our Supply Chain Procurement team. Its an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. Our work plays a critical role in communities we serve across Idaho and Oregon and were working hard to safely provide our customers with the safe reliable and affordable energy they depend on. While this position is based at Idaho Powers downtown Boise location we offer employees both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote after a period of demonstrated proficiency in their role.

What does a Contract Manager do for us

The Contract Manager works independently and with minimal guidance to lead stakeholders in the development of internal customer materials and service contracts of significant risk and/or complexity. They lead the competitive bidding process negotiations and prepare comprehensive contract documents. The Contract Manger will meet business unit cost objectives with focus on delivering the best value to Idaho Power.

In addition to supporting Idaho Powers traditional contracting activities this position supports internal customer needs by independently interpreting contractual requirements providing guidance on contract terms and ensuring ongoing compliance with contractual obligations throughout the full contract lifecycle.

REQUIRED SKILLS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelors degree

OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

  • 6 or more years related work experience

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment fine motor skills including typing on the computer dialing phones filing paper and working in close proximity to other people. There may be occasional lifts of no more than 10 lbs. The above is a summary of the primary essential functions of the position.
