About The Role
This role is responsible for leading Data Center CDU Installations and Commissioning in support of deployment deliverables serving as the primary technical expert for liquid cooling systems throughout all commissioning phases (Level 15). You will perform and oversee installation startup testing and validation of cooling distribution units while acting as Owner Representative across multiple sites coordinating with contractors vendors commissioning agents and operations teams to develop and execute test scripts (FPTs ISTs). You will also manage site inspections safety enforcement documentation and issue tracking and ensure a smooth handover to operations teams with full training and commissioning reports upon project completion.
Responsibilities
Scope & Contract Management: Author CDU deployment scopes of work covering installation commissioning and acceptance criteria; project manage deployment contracts from award through closeout tracking deliverables change orders schedule milestones and financial performance across multiple sites.
Team Leadership & Site Management: Manage a team of onsite superintendents leading day-to-day CDU installation execution; set priorities remove blockers and ensure consistent site practices (inspections safety enforcement progress tracking issue resolution) across all deployments.
Stakeholder Coordination: Act as Owners Representative for contractors and vendors across multiple sites; serve as the primary interface to deployment and capacity planning teams with regular updates on CDU schedule readiness risk and milestone status.
Vendor Performance & Standardization: Track CDU OEM and install contractor performance against KPIs (schedule adherence quality change order discipline) and drive corrective action when needed; enforce consistent install methods checklists and handover packages across sites so each new deployment benefits from prior site learnings.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain project records issue logs milestone tracking and CDU commissioning reports; report status up to leadership and out to deployment stakeholders on a defined cadence.
Handover: Provide technical support training and handover documentation to operations teams post-commissioning ensuring all systems are complete and ready for service.
Basic Qualifications
Experience: 5 years in IT data center operations mechanical systems HVAC or liquid cooling for critical facilities/data centers
Technical Degree in Mechanical Systems Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or related field. (Bachelors Preferred)
In-depth knowledge of Installation testing and commissioning of cooling systems in data centers with emphasis on high-density liquid cooling products including chilled water loops and process cooling.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously work with limited supervision and manage installing teams on day-to-day tasks.
Creating and managing testing protocols and system documentation.
Knowledge & experience with ASHRAE or BCxA commissioning guidelines preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Testing & Validation: Conducting pre-site testing and on-site functional testing electrical checks and mechanical adjustments.
Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues during startup and providing ongoing system support.

The base salary range for this position is $200000 - $250000 per year depending on experience skills qualifications and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.
