We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Utility Officer to join our team and help maintain a safe welcoming and wellfunctioning school environment that supports highquality learning for all students.
About the Role
The Utility Officer plays a vital role in ensuring our school grounds buildings and facilities are clean safe and well maintained. This position requires a handson proactive individual with trade-level skills who can coordinate maintenance tasks supervise others and respond effectively to daily operational needs.
The successful applicant will support the Catholic Identity and Evangelising Mission of the school and work collaboratively with staff contractors volunteers and the broader school community.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating daily building and grounds maintenance including cleaning tasks rubbish removal and minor repairs.
- Overseeing turf care playground upkeep and replenishment of soft fall.
- Planning and undertaking specialised maintenance tasks and small building projects.
- Maintaining tools equipment and chemical storage in line with safety standards.
- Setting up furniture and equipment for school events and sporting activities.
- Managing daily security routines including unlocking/locking buildings.
Required Skills Experience and Attributes

Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP).
- Current and satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check.
- Current Tasmanian drivers licence.
- Trade Certificate or Certificate III (or relevant experience).
