Technical Coordinator

AECOM Technical Services Inc. is seeking a Technical Coordinator in Sacramento CA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the development approval and implementation of policies and procedures related to contract management on architectural and engineering consultants working on the high-speed rail program and project management activities related to the scope schedule budget and strategic planning for contracts related to the Record of Decisions (ROD) and pre-construction delivery contracts
• Develop strategic delivery policies procedures and processes
• Formulate approve and implement policies procedures processes and related work breakdown structures for all strategic delivery functional areas
• Develop work plans schedules quality plans and implementation plans
• Prepare technical reports correspondence and memorandum for decision-making
• Attend meetings committees task forces and public forums in relation to contract procurement and contract management processes
• Complete contract administration duties and review documents including submittals requests for information change orders invoicing and payments and correspondence
• Select and use computer-based processes to compile contract data and develop transportation-related state-of-the-art computer programs and procedures
• Provide oversight of the work of various consultants to ensure compliance with assigned work duties document contract performance and take corrective action when appropriate
• Review and develop proposals various contracts and project documents prepared by others
• Produce meeting minutes and maintain project and contract files
• Attend trainings and special reviews
• Handle telephone inquiries attend public workshops develop other staff attend staff meetings and interpret new project requirements
• Prepare and present information regarding various types of transportation engineering matters to the public
• Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week

Qualifications :

Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related degree and 5 years of experience as a Field Engineer Project Engineer Assistant Construction Manager or related occupation.

Alternatively the employer will accept a Masters degree in Civil Engineering or related degree with 2 years of experience in a related occupation. 

Position requires experience in the following:

1. Administration of engineering contracts transportation facility planning and design principles
2. Assessing all phases of transportation engineering duties
3. Project Management concepts including creating timelines milestones and deadlines to direct and carry out transportation engineering duties
4. Ensuring projects are kept within scope cost and schedule
5. Preparing detailed correspondence and reports including Policy and Procedures and engineering reports
6. Communicating and documenting information relating to transportation engineering duties
7. Utilizing office applications word processing spreadsheets presentations taking minutes at meetings and preparing meeting calendars
8. Preparing technical correspondence and presentations
9. Completing comprehensive reports
10. Managing contracts budgets and transportation projects
