Senior Marine Structures Engineer
Job Summary
The Senior Marine Structures Engineer will be responsible for leading the planning design review and technical management of marine and coastal infrastructure projects. The role involves providing engineering leadership for the design and implementation of structures such as revetments jetties breakwaters quay walls and other port-related facilities. The candidate will guide project teams in developing technically sound and cost-effective marine infrastructure solutions while ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical planning design review and optimization of marine structures such as revetments jetties and breakwaters.
- Review and validate engineering calculations structural stability analyses and design reports prepared by project teams or consultants.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Coordinate with survey geotechnical environmental and structural teams to integrate field investigation data into design solutions.
- Oversee preparation and review of technical specifications tender documents and engineering deliverables.
- Evaluate design alternatives and construction methodologies to ensure technical feasibility and cost efficiency.
- Participate in technical meetings with clients consultants and contractors and provide expert recommendations.
- Support project management activities including scheduling coordination and monitoring of design progress.
- Conduct periodic site visits to review construction activities and resolve design-related issues.
Qualifications :
- 1015 years of relevant experience in marine/coastal engineering or port infrastructure projects.
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering (B.E./B-Tech) from a recognized university with proven experience in design and review of revetments jetties breakwaters and marine structures.
- Masters Degree in Coastal Engineering / Structural Engineering / Port & Harbour Engineering will be an added advantage.
