Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process customer invoices and apply customer payments as instructed.
- Enter invoices expense reports purchase orders payment information and other data into the accounting system.
- Expected to follow and maintain procedures for processing receipts/cash and sorting and filing documents after posting.
- Maintain organized and complete financial records supporting documentation and filing systems (digital and/or physical).
- Review transactions for completeness and accuracy escalating discrepancies or missing information to senior accounting staff.
- Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its business partners.
- Tracking and updating project/ task schedules to ensure timelines are met.
- Prepare review and process client invoices in accordance with internal instructions and client billing guidelines.
- Monitor and follow up on billing status (approvals/rejections).
- Maintain accurate billing records and generate billing-related reports as requested.
- Support collections by communicating with clients and resolving billing issues or inquiries.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 37 years of experience in an accounting clerk accounts payable accounts receivable or transactional accounting role.
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Accounting Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- knowledge of QuickBooks experience considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to follow established procedures and work under supervision.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Position Details:
- Type:Full-timeOn Site
- This role is required to work a total of 40 hours per week:
- Monday-Thursday (2:00pm 8:30pm) and Saturday (9:00pm 5:30pm)
- Location:Scarborough Ontario
- Purpose: Existing Vacancy
- Eligibility:Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Compensation Range: $20 25 /hour
