Cloud Platform Architect

Peraton seeks a Cloud / Platform Architect to support Department of Defense Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with DCO AI Cyber Security Support.

Location: Fort Meade MD.

In this role you will design and oversee cloud and big data platform infrastructure supporting Caspian and JCRS-D environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design cloud and platform architectures
• Oversee Hadoop Spark Kafka Flink deployments
• Define infrastructure standards and patterns
• Ensure platform scalability and reliability
• Guide platform technology decisions
• Support multi-classification environments

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
• Must have currentAWS/Azure Solutions Architect certification
• Must have Hadoop certification
• Expert knowledge of big data platforms
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS Azure)
• Understanding of distributed systems
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration
• Experience with DoD cloud environments
• U.S Citizenship required
• DoD TS with ability to obtain/maintain SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• 12 years of relevant experience
• Bachelors degree required; Masters degree is preferred in Computer Science or a related field
