Job Summary
Our Finance Department located in Queensbury NY currently has a full-time 40-hour Staff Accountant position available. This is an exempt position requiring work Monday-Friday during standard office hours. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required based on business needs. The annual salary range is $65000-$70000. The Staff Accountant assists in the preparation of financial statements budgets spreadsheets and reports. This role maintains accurate records reconciles accounts analyzes discrepancies and supports annual budget preparation and variance analyses. The Staff Accountant manages general ledger transactions fixed assets CIP projects loan amortizations and tax filings ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements. Additionally this position supports audits CFR preparation and financial reporting projects providing timely and accurate information to support organizational decision-making. The ability to manage multiple priorities is essential to success in this role.

- At least 18 years of age.
- A valid drivers license that meets WWAARC insurability standards.
- Minimum 4-year degree in accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office applications; particularly must have strong Excel skills. Abila (MIP) accounting software preferred.
- Experience with CFR preparation and familiarity with Medicaid billing regulations preferred.
- Knowledge of auditing practices and principles. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the management of financial systems and budgets financial reporting and financial analysis.
- Must be organized accurate with great attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and computer skills; strong oral and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to read and compose business correspondence and to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external parties in a professional and respectful manner.
