Job Description:

What will you work on
We are seeking a Finance professional to support the Record-to-Report (R2R) General Ledger (G/L) workstream as part of an SAP S/4HANA implementation. This role will play a key part in shaping future-state finance processes validating system outputs and ensuring financial accuracy throughout the transformation. This is a business-facing role focused on financial processes data integrity and stakeholder collaboration working closely with Finance leads and the SAP project team.

How will you create impact

  • Support the design and implementation of General Ledger (G/L) processes within the R2R workstream
  • Partner with Finance leads and business stakeholders to gather and document requirements
  • Participate in workshops to define future-state processes including:
    • Financial close activities
    • Journal entry workflows
    • Chart of accounts structure
    • Financial reporting requirements
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements for the SAP team
  • Review and validate system design from a Finance perspective to ensure alignment with accounting requirements
  • Perform hands-on validation of system outputs including:
    • Trial balances
    • Financial statements
    • Reconciliation reports
  • Support testing activities (SIT and UAT):
    • Prepare and execute test scripts
    • Identify document and track defects
    • Validate resolution of issues
  • Assist with data migration activities including validation and reconciliation of G/L balances and historical data
  • Support month-end close simulations and readiness activities
  • Contribute to documentation training materials and end-user support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AP AR Fixed Assets FP&A IT) to ensure process alignment


What are your skills and experience

  • 48 years of experience in Finance (e.g. General Ledger Financial Reporting or Controllership)
  • Strong understanding of G/L accounting and financial close processes
  • Experience participating in ERP implementations or finance transformation initiatives
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and reconciliations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with both Finance and technical teams
  • Experience with data validation reconciliation or financial systems testing
  • Familiarity with IFRS

The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in Ontario is $125000 to $135000 Per Annum. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job years of experience within the required industry education etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
