Location/Division Specific Information
Biosciences Division Life Science Solutions Group Field-based Biosciences Account Manager Biotech (Bay Area CA). This role will support UCSF and a key biotech partner in South San Francisco. Ideal candidate should be located within a short commute to both locations.

In this role you will directly impact our mission of making the world healthier cleaner and safer by providing our life science technologiesincluding consumables reagents and instrumentationto UCSF and key biotechs and pharmas in the Peninsula and South San Francisco area for use in their research including cell biology protein biology molecular biology and more. You will be supporting our legacy Life Technologies research portfolio that includes brands such as Gibco Thermo Scientific Invitrogen and Applied the role you will be responsible for accelerating Thermo Fisher Scientific market share by using business strategy scientific knowledge and teamwork. The Bioscience Account Manager is the cornerstone for our commercial landscape leading key sales activities around prospecting closing account mapping and collaborating with our other commercial team members.

REQUIREMENTS
How will you get here
Education
- Requires a bachelors degree in any life science strong preference for Biology
Role success profile
Experience
5 plus years of related work experience required; and of that we are seeking a mix of sales experience (ideally in the life sciences space) and laboratory bench / research experience
- Experience working in a team environment
- Proven track record to strategize and achieve results
- Work in an academic research setting a plus
Knowledge and Skills
- Scientific wet lab experience leveraging tools and technologies across cell culture imaging flow cytometry molecular assays protein assays immunology etc.
- Relevant scientific background
- Relevant customer and/or market knowledge
- Computer proficiency (ex. MS Office)
- Business acumen with the ability to ask for and grow the business
- Strong EQ (emotional intelligence)

Location
- Remote field-based with expected field engagement 3-4 days per week. Field location South San Francisco & Peninsula (UCSF and South San Francisco biotech). Ideal candidate should be located within a short commute to both sites.
- Overnight travel required quarterly or more for trainings meetings and other business needs.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $76000.00$118000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
