Job Summary
Astrana Health is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to provide day-to-day operational support across core HR functions playing a key role in delivering a consistent compliant and positive employee experience across Astranas corporate IPA MSO clinic and hospital aligned operations.
This role supports onboarding and offboarding employee data management HR system transactions and serves as a primary point of contact for employees and candidate inquiries. The Human Resources Coordinator partners closely with HR team members Payroll IT and business leaders to support effective HR operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

What Youll Do
- Coordinate onboarding activities including pre-employment screenings such as background checks drug screening physicals onboarding tickets new hire documentation and Form I-9 completion in compliance with federal and state requirements
- Support on site and virtual new hire orientation to ensure a smooth and positive onboarding experience
- Assist with offboarding processes including initiating exit procedures coordinating final pay information and partnering with Payroll IT and management to ensure timely system access termination
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee and candidate inquiries; respond to standard to moderately complex questions related to onboarding payroll benefits HRIS transactions including ADP Workforce Now policies and general HR procedures
- Support employee job changes transfers and employee data updates within HR systems as assigned
- Assist with employment verifications unemployment claims child support notices and responses to government or regulatory agencies under guidance
- Maintain accurate timely and audit ready employee records and documentation Support audits compliance activities and reporting requests
- Partner with HR team members on assigned projects process improvements and system updates
- Perform other HR related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associates degree in human resources business administration healthcare administration or a related field preferred
- Bachelors degree preferred but not required
- A combination of relevant education and progressively responsible experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an office or HR administrative setting preferred
- Prior human resources experience a plus
- Experience in healthcare IPA MSO clinic or hospital environments strongly preferred
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- Our organization follows an hybrid work structure for this role where the expectation is to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week. The office location is 1668 S. Garfield Ave. 2nd Floor Alhambra CA 91801
- Periodic on-site presence will be required across hospitals; clinics; IPA sites; MSO administrative offices; and other operational locations. May include occasional meetings with carriers; TPAs; or site leaders.
- The total compensation target pay range for this role is $23 - 26 hourly. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
