We are looking for a highly motivated curious and technically inclined individual to join our Operations Technology (OT) team supporting utility-scale renewable energy assets across the United States.

This is not a typical entry-level IT role.

You will work directly with the systems that monitor and control solar wind and battery energy storage sitessupporting real-time operations that impact power generation grid reliability and revenue. Youll gain hands-on experience across networking SCADA systems industrial devices and cybersecurity in a fast-paced high-ownership environment.

Operate Critical Infrastructure

• Support the systems that enable real-time monitoring and control of energy assets (SCADA Energy Management Systems telemetry and site communications)

• Troubleshoot issues impacting visibility control and data flow across hundreds of distributed sites

• Assist in restoring operations during outages and degraded system conditions

Build Technical Depth Across OT IT

• Configure and maintain:

• Network infrastructure (routers switches firewalls)

• Virtual environments (VMware / Hyper-V)

• Windows-based systems and industrial applications

• Support device-level communications (relays inverters meters RTACs etc.)

• Learn and apply networking fundamentals in real-world environments (routing VLANs NAT VPNs)

Troubleshoot Real Problems

• Perform root cause analysis across:

• Network connectivity issues

• SCADA/data gaps

• Device communication failures

• Use tools like packet captures logs and system diagnostics to isolate issues

• Document findings and contribute to long-term fixesnot just short-term patches

Support 24/7 Operations

• Participate in an on-call rotation supporting critical infrastructure

• Respond to and triage issues impacting production systems

What Were Looking For

Technical Foundation (Baseline Not Mastery)

• Basic understanding of:

• Networking (IP addressing VLANs routing concepts)

• Windows systems or general system administration

• Exposure to any of the following is a plus:

• Virtualization (VMware Hyper-V)

• Powershell

• Firewalls network switches spanning tree protocol

• SCADA industrial systems or field devices

• Protocols DNP3 Modbus OPC UA/DA

Other Requirements

• Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on / military experience

• 1-2 years of related experience

• Ability to travel up to 50% (site visits across renewable energy assets)

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation

• Ability to obtain a TWIC card

• Ability to work in field environments requiring PPE

The expected salary for this position at commencement of employment is between $73000 and $88400/year; however base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location job-related knowledge skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes annual bonus. The benefits offered for this position are: medical dental and vision coverage life insurance 401(k) eligibility and paid time off (including vacation sick leave time and parental leave).
