About the RoleWe are looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. This is a hands-on role supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living both at home and in the community.
This is a sleep-in role typically involving:
- An afternoon shift
- A sleep-in night
- A morning shift
You will play a key role in supporting individuals to live independently safely and with dignity while achieving their personal goals.
Please note: This role involves providing personal care. Where appropriate this may be considered a genuine occupational requirement in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Key Responsibilities- Follow individual support plans and risk assessments
- Support individuals with daily living tasks (cooking shopping cleaning)
- Assist with personal care where required (washing bathing toileting)
- Administer medication in line with training and policies
- Support access to community activities appointments and social opportunities
- Encourage independence choice and skill development
- Maintain accurate records and report incidents or concerns
- Act as a key worker and contribute to support plan reviews
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and attend handovers and meetings
- Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times
Requirements- A full UK manual driving licence (essential)
- Willingness to drive a mobility vehicle
- Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- A proactive caring and reliable approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work shifts including sleep-ins and alternate weekends
