About the Role
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. This is a hands-on role supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living both at home and in the community.
This is a sleep-in role typically involving:
An afternoon shift
A sleep-in night
A morning shift
You will play a key role in supporting individuals to live independently safely and with dignity while achieving their personal goals.
Please note: This role involves providing personal care. Where appropriate this may be considered a genuine occupational requirement in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Key Responsibilities
Follow individual support plans and risk assessments
Support individuals with daily living tasks (cooking shopping cleaning)
Assist with personal care where required (washing bathing toileting)
Administer medication in line with training and policies
Support access to community activities appointments and social opportunities
Encourage independence choice and skill development
Maintain accurate records and report incidents or concerns
Act as a key worker and contribute to support plan reviews
Work collaboratively with colleagues and attend handovers and meetings
Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times
Requirements
A full UK manual driving licence (essential)
Willingness to drive a mobility vehicle
Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
A proactive caring and reliable approach
Good communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work shifts including sleep-ins and alternate weekends
