The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst (BA) / Business Systems Analyst (BSA) who understands client requirements deeply and has hands-on knowledge of AI technologies.

Your Key Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering analyzing and translating business needs into clear and actionable user stories for development teams.
• The candidate should possess strong analytical and innovative thinking skills excellent communication abilities and be proficient in status reporting and stakeholder communication.
• Experience in the financial services domain is essential to understand the industry-specific requirements and challenges.

Must Have:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst (BA) or Business Systems Analyst (BSA).
• Strong understanding of AI technologies and their application in business solutions.
• Ability to gather and analyze client requirements and convert them into detailed user stories.
• Excellent analytical and innovative thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
• Proficiency in status reporting and progress tracking.
• Good understanding of the financial services domain.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Good to Have:

• Relevant certifications such as CBAP PMI-PBA or Agile-related certifications.
• Experience with AI-assisted tools for requirements gathering and documentation.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Knowledge of business process modeling and workflow tools.
• Prior experience working with distributed or remote teams.

Ideally youll also have

• Bachelors degree plus 6 or more years of programming and analysis experience (or equivalent experience).
• Relevant professional certifications.
• Ability to quickly learn new programming languages and frameworks.
• Balance prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
• Work collaboratively in teams and across organizations.
• Apply creative solutions to challenging problems and ensure business needs are met effectively.
• Build strong working relationships with other teams both inside and outside the organization.

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity education relevant experience knowledge and applicable skill sets.

• Seniors for Vancouver and Toronto: $88000 to $132000
• Seniors for Victoria: $79000 to $119000
