Role Overview
As part of the global Customer Solution Engineering (CSE) team you will act as the key representative in Japan supporting customers and internal stakeholders in designing and delivering tailored technical solutions.
The CSE team focuses on understanding customer requirements and translating them into scalable commercially viable solutions. You will work closely with Sales Engineering Product and external partners to develop and position solutions that meet customer needs.
Once solutions are agreed you will ensure a smooth transition to Delivery and Operations teams for implementation and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Sales and Business Development teams to develop and execute digital solution strategies for target accounts
Support technical and commercial discussions with customers identifying needs and proposing appropriate solutions
Design and execute proof of concepts (PoCs) to demonstrate both technical capability and business value
Drive solution development internally across Engineering Product Pricing and other relevant teams
Prepare high-quality technical proposals including solution design architecture and customer presentations
Develop high-level solution architectures aligned with customer requirements and business objectives
Create tailored technical and commercial proposals particularly in areas such as cybersecurity IT infrastructure cloud and IoT
Support customization of solutions including managed services system integration and third-party offerings where required
Engage and coordinate with external vendors and partners when necessary
Provide market and customer insights to support ongoing product and solution development
Support urgent customer requirements outside standard working hours when required
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
23 years of experience in presales solution engineering or technical consulting roles
Strong understanding of cybersecurity networking connectivity (including SD-WAN) IT/IIoT and managed services
Proven ability to design solutions and translate technical requirements into customer-focused proposals
Experience in proposal development solution architecture and customer presentations
Fluent in both Japanese and English (essential)
Experience in sectors such as maritime energy government or infrastructure is advantageous
Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally
