About the Opportunity
A growing civil construction contractor is seeking an experiencedSuperintendentto lead field operations on large-scale public infrastructure and heavy highway projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on field leader who can independently run projects from start to finish while managing crews subcontractors and schedules in fast-paced environments.
Projects primarily include transportation and public works infrastructure including bridges earthwork drainage and structural concrete scopes ranging from $1M$30M.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all onsite construction activities for heavy civil/highway projects
- Manage daily field operations crews and subcontractors (512 personnel typical)
- Maintain project schedules and coordinate closely with Project Managers
- Procure materials and coordinate site logistics
- Conduct quality control inspections and enforce safety standards
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Manage multiple trades and maintain accountability across subcontractors
- Utilize tablets/apps for daily reporting and timekeeping

Required Qualifications
- 58 years of Superintendent or field leadership experience
- Proven experience running projects valued $1M$30M
- Strong background in heavy highway or public infrastructure projects
- Experience managing subcontractors and maintaining schedules
- Knowledge of concrete structural steel and site development coordination
