Our client is seeking a personable detail-oriented professional to join their team as an Intake Coordinator where youll play a key role in supporting patients and creating a seamless intake experience.

The Intake Coordinator reports to the Patient Experience Manager and is a full-time non-exempt hybrid position requiring 4 days in-office in the New York City office.
As part of the Intake team you will act as the first point of contact for families seeking clinical services. You will answer inquiries provide information about the practice and schedule appointments with members of the clinical team. Furthermore you will play a crucial role in ensuring families relate to the appropriate resources and support to meet their needs.
Responsibilities:
- Complete initial intake screenings coordinate patient evaluations and schedule appointments within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Communicate professionally with new patients via phone and email providing information about the intake process and answers to frequently asked questions.
- Oversee patient experience from the time patients contact the organization to the time they schedule their first appointment.
- Review new intakes with the clinical team or use knowledge of the clinical practice for appropriate case assignments.
- Provide appropriate follow-up to communicate clinicians recommendations for scheduling onsite or externally.
- Manage high priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Resolve urgent sensitive and confidential issues with discretion and integrity and strictly protect personal health information.
- Assist with training new support staff and provide team coverage when necessary.
- Perform additional job-related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in psychology or related field.
- 2 years of relevant experience
Special Considerations:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $53351 - $57000 USD annually.
