Job Summary
IT Consulting company is seeking a skilled Engineer Power Platform Operations to support an automotive industry client. This role primarily supports Power Platform operations. The position requires close coordination with the client. This is an on-site role at the client facility in Torrance CA.
Key Responsibilities
1. Power Platform Operational Support
- Day-to-day operational support for:
o Power Apps
o Power Automate (Cloud Flows)
o Power Automate Desktop (RPA)
o Power Virtual Agents
o Dataverse
- Troubleshoot incidents and coordinate issue resolution
- Oversee RPA bot monitoring and runtime issue handling
- Support environment governance (DLP policies environment monitoring coordination related to COE dashboards)
- Manage access control and environment provisioning requests
- Escalate complex issues to Microsoft Support when necessary
- Serve as a dedicated operational support resource for U.S.-based and Japan- based members regarding Power Platformrelated matters.
While new large-scale development is not a primary responsibility the role requires the ability to understand troubleshoot and perform minor low-code enhancements within existing Power Apps and Power Automate solutions.
2. Cross-Border Team Coordination
- Bridge communication between English-speaking and Japanese-only members
- Ensure alignment between on-site operations and offshore support teams
3. Client Communication
- Maintain close communication with the client regarding operational matters
- Participate in operational meetings and status reviews
- Provide feedback and improvement suggestions based on operational experience
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Power Platform solutions
- Ability to read understand and modify existing Power Apps and Power Automate flows
- Experience supporting Power Automate Desktop (RPA) environments is preferred
- Understanding of Dataverse and Power Platform environment governance concepts
- Strong coordination and cross-team communication skills
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Must be available for on-site work in Torrance CA
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a client-side Power Platform team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in bilingual (Japanese-English) enterprise environments
- Experience coordinating cross-border operational teams
- Experience supporting automotive or manufacturing industry clients
Work Schedule
- Standard working hours are 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Additional flexibility may be required to coordinate with Japan-based team members.
