Archaeologist Crew Lead needs 3 years experience in archaeology role
Archaeologist Crew Lead requires:
- Bachelors degree in Anthropology or related field
- Completion of an accredited archaeological field school
- Experience in CRM-based Phase I/II/III archaeological survey and/or excavation
- 1 years experience leading archaeological field work to locate and identify sites
- Experience with GPS/Trimble navigation and data collection
- Knowledge of historic/prehistoric material culture and artifact processing
- Ability to navigate using compass and USGS topographic map
- Ability to set up and run a Total Station independently for site recording/mapping
- Archaeological reporting experience.
Archaeologist Crew Lead duties:
- Ability to extensively perform bending kneeling standing shoveling and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold wet/humid and dry/arid conditions
- Perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (e.g. rugged terrain remote locations hot and cold temperatures)
- Office work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking.
