Job Summary

Archaeologist Crew Lead needs 3 years experience in archaeology role

Archaeologist Crew Lead requires:

Bachelors degree in Anthropology or related field
Completion of an accredited archaeological field school
Experience in CRM-based Phase I/II/III archaeological survey and/or excavation
1 years experience leading archaeological field work to locate and identify sites
Experience with GPS/Trimble navigation and data collection
Knowledge of historic/prehistoric material culture and artifact processing
Ability to navigate using compass and USGS topographic map
Ability to set up and run a Total Station independently for site recording/mapping
Archaeological reporting experience.

Archaeologist Crew Lead duties:

Ability to extensively perform bending kneeling standing shoveling and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed
Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold wet/humid and dry/arid conditions
Perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (e.g. rugged terrain remote locations hot and cold temperatures)
Office work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking.
