Estimator

The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive proposals for doors frames and hardware based on project specifications and customer requirements. This role involves reviewing architectural drawings performing material take-offs and maintaining awareness of upcoming construction opportunities. The Estimator collaborates closely with both clients and internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to project execution. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for building customer relationships and supporting overall project success.

1. Maintain and help build lasting customer relationships through excellent service and responsiveness.
2. Manage and track upcoming construction projects and bid opportunities
3. Perform material take-offs identify relevant drawings and review architectural specifications.
4. Prepare clear accurate and competitive proposals for customers.
5. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and win projects through consultative selling.
6. Coordinate with internal project teams to ensure seamless project handoff and clear communication for successful execution and customer satisfaction.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Knowledge of product specifications applications and relevant building codes to ensure accurate estimation and compliance with project requirements.
2. Skill in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and construction documents to develop precise material take-offs and proposals.
3. Knowledge of Comsense or similar industry-specific software used for estimating and project management tasks.
4. Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally to interact with clients team members and stakeholders.
5. Skill in organization time management and problem-solving to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
6. Ability to apply a sales-oriented approach focused on building long-term partnerships and securing new business opportunities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associate or bachelors degree preferred.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in the commercial door frame and hardware industry.
• Proven experience in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

COMPENSATION

This compensation information is a good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage range that DuraServ reasonably expects to pay upon hire and is provided in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Similar positions located outside of a covered jurisdiction may not necessarily receive the same compensation. The anticipated compensation range for this role is $25.00 to $30.00 and reflects the range DuraServ expects to pay at the time of hire based on factors including geographic market skills experience qualifications and internal equity.

Salary/Hourly: Hourly

In addition to base compensation this role is eligible for the following:
