We are seeking aPrincipal Product Manager Platform Observabilityto define and drive the multi-year observability strategy and execution across our SaaS platform. This role will build and evolve a highly scalable and resilient telemetry foundation that powers operational excellence and delivers customer-facing insights.

Job Requirements

  • Define and execute the multi-year roadmap for platform observability.

  • Define andDrivethe integration with external logging systems

  • Collaborate with service product leaders to deliver differentiatedcapabilitiesto provide insights on traffic visibility WAF telemetryandAPI protection.

  • Align observability investments with SaaS scale cost optimization and reliability goals.

RequiredExperience

  • 8 years of Product Management experience with at least 3 yearsinbuilding B2B SaaS products.

  • Knowledge in Distributed systems and cloud-native architectures

  • Hands-on familiarity with observability tools such as: Prometheus Grafana Loki Mimir Tempo Elastic Datadog Splunketc

  • Experience building products formulti-tenant SaaS platforms.

  • Knowledge of L4L7 networking concepts (TCP TLS HTTPgRPC APIs)

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives from strategy through delivery in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

How to Stand out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience building observability product or service

  • ExperienceinHigh-scale logging pipelines (Kafka Event Hubs Kinesis)Schema governance (Avro/OTLP)and cost-efficient telemetry architectures

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes observabilityeBPF-basedtelemetryandOpenTelemetrystandards

  • Experience driving automation initiatives (incident automation self-healing systems)

  • Exposure to AI-assisted observability or SRE tooling.

  • Experience in networking/security-focused SaaS (CDN WAF Zero Trust Edge platforms).

  • Experience in API governance and platform programmability strategy to ensure secure consistent and scalable integrations.

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge skills experience geographic locations and market conditions as well as to reflect F5s differing products industries and lines of business.
