Job Summary:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards. This role requires attention to detail efficiency and adherence to food safety guidelines while working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
  • Maintain a clean organized and stocked workstation.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ensure consistent portioning plating and presentation of dishes.
  • Assist with prep work and ingredient stocking as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth service.
  • Handle and store ingredients properly to prevent waste.
  • Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries.
  • Communicate with team members and leadership to ensure efficient operations.
  • Follow instructions from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef regarding food preparation and kitchen policies.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
  • Frequent lifting pushing or pulling of up to 50 lbs (e.g. food trays boxes equipment).
  • Ability to bend stoop and reach overhead.
  • Repetitive hand and arm movements (e.g. chopping stirring plating).
  • Exposure to heat open flames cold storage and wet/slippery surfaces.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-stress environment.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to handle sharp objects safely.
