Description

The Senior Vice President Strategic Resilience Advisory Practice Leader is responsible for leading and scaling a highgrowth management consulting practice focused on enterprise resilience strategic risk and longterm value protection. This senior executive role carries full P&L responsibility and will grow an existing 4person practice to 10 professionals within the first year with a targeted trajectory of $2030M in annual revenue by the end of year two.

The SVP will serve as a trusted advisor to Csuite leaders and boards leading longterm client engagements that address complex multiperil risk environments. The role blends strategic advisory leadership consulting practice management and deep credibility across resilience enterprise risk management and infrastructurelevel risk frameworks. The leader will shape marketfacing offerings ensure delivery excellence and position the practice as a cornerstone of the broader Resilience & Risk Consulting platform.

The location of this position is flexible in North America with travel to client sites and internal offices as required.

Responsibilities

The SVP Strategic Resilience Advisory will drive business execution client impact and financial performance while building a scalable servicesbased consulting practice. Responsibilities include:

  • Create and execute a profitable business plan for the Strategic Resilience Advisory practice including revenue growth utilization margin and staffing models
  • Own full P&L accountability for the practice including forecasting pipeline management and operational performance
  • Scale the practice from 4 to 10 professionals within the first year through targeted hiring and capability development
  • Build and sustain trusted relationships with Csuite executives boards and senior public and privatesector leaders
  • Serve as principalincharge on longterm highimpact client engagements
  • Position Strategic Resilience Advisory as a differentiated marketleading consulting offering aligned with enterprise and societal risk trends

1. Strategic Resilience Advisory Practice Leadership

  • Lead and grow a North Americabased strategic resilience consulting practice aligned with the broader Resilience & Risk Consulting strategy
  • Translate strategic objectives into executable business plans including growth pricing utilization and talent models
  • Define and prioritize core resilience advisory offerings frameworks and industry focus areas
  • Establish scalable delivery models and quality standards for complex multiyear consulting engagements

2. Client Engagement & Advisory Solution Development

  • Serve as senior strategic advisor to executives and boards across public and private sector clients
  • Lead advisory engagements spanning:
    • Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and strategic risk frameworks
    • Organizational resilience and operating model design
    • Business continuity and crisis preparedness
    • Supply chain risk and resilience strategy
    • Communitybased and regional resilience initiatives
    • Multiperil and systemic risk analysis
    • Infrastructure and critical systems resilience
  • Design integrated resilience strategies that connect risk identification to actionable investment governance and operating decisions
  • Ensure delivery of decisionready insights executivelevel reporting and measurable resilience outcomes

3. Business Development Sales Alignment & Market Expansion

  • Partner with sales account and industry leaders to shape gotomarket strategies for strategic resilience offerings
  • Lead proposal development pricing strategy and contract negotiation for complex advisory engagements
  • Build longterm client relationships that result in repeat and multiyear advisory programs
  • Represent the firm as a senior thought leader at client forums industry events and executive briefings

4. Operational & Financial Management

  • Own practice financial performance including revenue margin utilization and pipeline health
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to growth delivery quality client satisfaction and profitability
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews to assess performance and reallocate resources as needed
  • Ensure consistent project governance risk management and quality assurance across engagements

5. People Leadership & Thought Leadership Development

  • Build mentor and lead a highperforming strategic advisory team
  • Develop senior consultants into trusted advisors and visible market thought leaders
  • Promote collaboration across resilience risk analytics and industry teams
  • Foster a culture of intellectual rigor client impact and continuous improvement


Qualifications

Technical & Advisory Expertise

  • Credible expertise in:
    • Strategic risk frameworks and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
    • Organizational and operational resilience
    • Business continuity and crisis management
    • Supply chain risk and resilience
    • Communitybased and regional resilience planning
    • Multiperil and systemic risk analysis
    • Infrastructure and critical systems resilience
  • Ability to translate complex risk concepts into executivelevel business decisions

Leadership & Business Skills

  • Proven ability to build scale and lead highperforming consulting teams
  • Strong business development and client relationship management capabilities
  • Executive presence with board and Csuitelevel credibility
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Track record of delivery excellence and profitable practice management

Education and Experience

  • Advanced degree (MBA MPP MS or PhD) in business public policy engineering economics or related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in management consulting strategic risk resilience or related advisory disciplines
  • Minimum of 7 years in senior consulting leadership or partnerlevel roles with P&L responsibility
  • Experience at toptier management consulting firms or specialized resilience / risk advisory firms
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling consulting practices toward $20M in revenue
  • Deep experience leading longterm complex client engagements with executive stakeholders
  • Background serving infrastructureintensive regulated or riskexposed sectors
  • Professional certifications or affiliations in risk resilience or continuity management
  • Published thought leadership or frequent speaking on resilience risk or infrastructure topics

The pay range for the role is $225000 to $285000. The specific offer will depend on an applicants skills and other factors.
