Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Ocean Operation Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all ocean freight import and export operations efficiently ensuring smooth shipment handling accurate documentation and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Shipment Handling: - Coordinate Ocean import/export shipments with customers carriers and overseas agents. Handle full documentation process (Booking B/L Manifest Invoice Packing List etc.). - Ensure on-time cargo delivery and monitor shipment status until final delivery. - Arrange container pick-up return and follow up on demurrage/detention charges.
2. Documentation & System Updates: - Prepare and verify all shipping documents according to customer and regulatory requirements. - Input shipment details into company systems accurately and timely. - File and maintain records for easy retrieval and audit compliance.
3. Communication & Coordination: - Liaise with carriers co-loaders customs brokers and trucking companies. - Communicate proactively with customers about shipment status and exceptions. - Coordinate closely with the sales and accounting teams for smooth operations.
4. Customer Service & Problem Solving: - Provide professional customer support to ensure satisfaction. - Handle and resolve shipment discrepancies or delays. - Maintain good relationships with existing clients and support business development when needed.
5. Compliance & Reporting: - Ensure compliance with company policies shipping regulations and local customs rules. - Prepare operation reports as required by management.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree or related field of Logistics Business. - 12 years of experience in ocean freight operations (import/export).. - Knowledge of INCOTERMS ocean freight documentation and customs procedures. - Good communication and coordination skills. - Good in Microsoft Office and operational systems. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and export management software. - English language (spoken and written) and Chinese as a plus.
