Position Title: Bookkeeper / Financial Controller
Work Set-up: Work From Home or Office
Work Schedule: Monday Friday 04:00 PM 12:30 AM PH Time Zone (Mid Shift)
Salary: Php 45000.00 Php 70000.00

We are looking for a proactive Bookkeeper / Financial Controller to manage the financial operations of a Dublin-based e-commerce brand. This is a critical role bridging high-volume transaction management in Shopify with senior-level financial reporting and Irish statutory compliance in Xero.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR BOOKKEEPER / FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Qualifications as a Bookkeeper / Financial Controller:

• Experience:13 years in e-commerce bookkeeping ideally within the Irish or EU market.
• Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Xero and Shopify.
• Irish Tax Knowledge: Solid understanding of Irish VAT rules including domestic rates and EU cross-border Place of Supply rules.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables VLOOKUPs). Knowledge of Irish Payroll (PAYE Modernisation) and Automatic Enrolmentprep is a significant plus.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal English comfortable presenting financial data to Irish stakeholders.

Responsibilities as a Bookkeeper /Financial Controller:

A. Irish & International E-commerce Accounting

• Reconcile daily Shopify payouts with bank deposits in Xero ensuring accurate accounting for merchant fees and refunds.
• Manage multi-currency reconciliations (EUR GBP USD) and monitor exchange rate impacts.
• Maintain automated data flows from Shopify to Xero using tools like A2X or Link My Books.

B. Irish Tax & Compliance

• Prepare and fileIrish VAT returns(Bi-monthly/Quarterly) via ROS ensuring compliance withRevenueregulations.
• ManagePostponed VAT Accounting (PVA)for inventory imports post-Brexit and monitorVIES/Intrastatreporting where applicable.
• Oversee EORI and customs duty reconciliations for goods entering Ireland/EU.

C. Financial Control & Analysis

• Produce monthly Management Accounts (P&L Balance Sheet Cash Flow) for the Irish leadership team.
• Conduct Product Margin Analysis and monitor ad-spend efficiency (ROAS) in collaboration with the marketing team.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and manage accruals and prepayments.

Operations & Payroll

• Manage Accounts Payable ensuring timely vendor payments and expense tracking via Dext/Hubdoc.
• Oversee month-end close procedures and year-end audit preparation in line withIrish GAAP.
