We are looking for a CASS Administrator to support a financial services firm. This role is responsible for supporting the firms compliance with the FCA Client Assets Sourcebook (CASS) rules. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring client money and custody assets are appropriately safeguarded reconciled and reported while contributing to the effective operation of the CASS function.
The position offers exposure to regulatory processes internal controls and audit engagement within a financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily client money calculations in line with FCA CASS requirements
Conduct regular reconciliations and ensure the integrity of internal controls relating to client assets
Support the monthly CASS monitoring programme including documentation and reporting of findings
Produce management information (MI) and reports relating to CASS oversight and monitoring activities
Investigate and document CASS-related incidents including root cause analysis and resolution tracking
Assist with funding requests and ensure appropriate funding arrangements are in place
Maintain key CASS governance documents including the CASS Resolution Pack and risk matrix
Provide support during internal and external audits including preparation of required documentation
Contribute to CASS-related projects and process improvement initiatives
Assist with ad hoc tasks as required by the CASS leadership team
Continuously develop knowledge of CASS regulations industry practices and internal procedures
Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
Experience in a CASS finance operations or regulatory environment (preferred)
Strong numerical and analytical capability
Understanding of reconciliations and financial controls
Systems & Tools
Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook
Experience using internal financial or reconciliation systems is advantageous
Regulatory Awareness
Understanding of working within a regulated financial services environment
Awareness of FCA CASS rules and broader compliance obligations (desirable)
Core Competencies
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time management skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop
