The Role
BGC is looking for a highly motivated and organized Office Administrator to join our Toronto Team. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter who values teamwork takes initiative and takes pride in their this office-based role you willbe responsible forsupporting a range of administrative needs and collaborating with your fellow administrative teammates across BGC. You will report to the Toronto Office Manager and BGCs Administration Team Lead and will be working in a fast-paced dynamic consulting environment alongside our Engineers Geoscientists and other BGC teams.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with building management and local vendors for repairs maintenance and security.
- Shipping and receiving both domestic and international with the ability to lift 40lbs.
- Reception duties including receiving visitors and vendorsprintingand scanning.
- Maintain office organization various office equipment and supplies inventory.
- Coordinate onboardinglogisticsfornew staffand act as a general resource for new hires.
- Plan office and company social events and meetings including catering.
- Approve office related invoices and complete office credit card reconciliations.
- Coordinate travel and accommodationlogisticsfor staff and clients.
- Support coordination of internal and external training courses for staff.
- Support workspace planning initiatives officerenovationsand expansions.
- Maintain uptodateofficefiles and resources ensuring office and local Admin Teams channels arewell managedandorganized
- Work with BGCs IT Team to support local office needs inventory organization and functionality of IT and AV equipment
- Occasional in-person short-term travel to provide in-person support to Kingston office.
- Support the Toronto Office Manager office staff and greater BGC Administrative Team as needed.
- Perform other tasks as.
Required Education Experience & Competencies
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Reliable adaptable and able to pivot with changing priorities
- Excellent verbal written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines with attention to detail
- Collaborative approach to working in a team environment
- Proficient in MS Office products and Adobe Acrobat
- Comfortable with learningnew technologyand software
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Compensation
The estimated base salary range for this position is $60000- $75000CAD per annum however base pay will becommensuratewith job-related knowledge skills and experience. BGCs compensation package also includes adiscretionary bonus plantraining allowanceand comprehensive medical and dental plan.
