Location

This is an on-site role based in the Chicago area offering close collaboration with field crews operations and project teams in a practical construction environment.

Note: Must have direct experience using CAD for surveying civil land development or closely related drafting work. Candidates without relevant Survey CAD or Civil CAD drafting experience will not be considered.

Job Description

• Prepare and revise survey and construction-related CAD drawings based on field data sketches and project requirements
• Process survey information into clear accurate plans and supporting documents
• Support layout topographic boundary as-built and construction drafting needs as required
• Coordinate with survey crews project teams and operations to ensure drawings align with field conditions and project scope
• Maintain drawing files revisions and documentation in an organized manner
• Review data for accuracy completeness and consistency before finalizing deliverables
• Help support project execution by producing dependable drafting work on schedule
• Assist with updates redlines revisions and other drafting needs tied to active jobs

Qualifications

• 2 years of directly relevant Survey CAD Civil CAD or land surveying drafting experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Experience working with survey data field notes and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to drafting accuracy
• Able to work closely with field and office teams
• Organized dependable and comfortable managing deadlines
