ABOUT THE ROLE

Mayersohn Law Group P.A. is seeking a Senior Criminal Defense Attorney with substantial jury trial experience (50) federal exposure and a prosecutorial background. Youll lead complex criminal matters shape strategy and advocate in highstakes proceedings all within a firm known for sharp litigation and exceptional client service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead Criminal Defense Litigation

• Serve as lead counsel on felony and complex criminal matters
• Represent clients in hearings motions negotiations and trials
• Develop and execute strategic defense plans tailored to each case

Strategic Case Development

• Identify key issues early and shape case direction
• Prepare concise strategy summaries and risk assessments
• Anticipate prosecutorial tactics using prior experience

Written Advocacy & Case Preparation

• Draft and review motions briefs and supporting documents
• Maintain organized trialready case files
• Conduct targeted legal research to strengthen arguments

Collaboration Leadership & Communication

• Work closely with partners and support staff providing guidance as needed
• Communicate clearly and consistently with clients building trust through professionalism empathy and transparency

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Several years of criminal practice with increasing responsibility
• Meaningful jury trial and federal experience
• Former prosecutorial experience strongly preferred
• Strong legal writing and courtroom advocacy skills
• Proven ability to manage a caseload independently
• Florida Bar license in good standing
• Experience collaborating with support professionals and legal teams
