TOTH is currently seeking candidates for aCivil Engineer - I to join ourCivil Engineering Department. This position will include project management and design responsibilities for various civil engineering projects including but not limited to site development stormwater management wastewater systems potable water systems and transportation. Responsibilities will consist of overall management of projects from design through construction administration and will include the supervision and coordination of design team personnel and resources.
Additional Roles & Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing a variety of site plans grading plans utility plans and roadway plans.
Frequently interact with clients vendors and external contractor personnel and represent the firm professionally.
Assist in preparing reports cost estimates bid schedules and project specifications.
Follow and meet project goals budgets and schedules.
Collaborate with internal design team members and follow directives set by the Project Manager.
Recognize basic construction or engineering problems; recommend changes to construction plans to meet field conditions.
Travel to project locations for site visits and to complete observation inspections.
Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
2 years of engineering experience
EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Strong organizational and communications skills
Experience with engineering consulting
Experience with local state and federal regulatory permitting processes
Familiarity with AutoCAD software
Familiarity with common civil engineering design software
Excellent computer skills
Demonstrated ability to work on projects from conceptual design through construction
Outstanding written and verbal skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
