CADD Technician CM

Creighton Manning a GAI Company is seeking an AutoCAD Drafter to join our team.

About This Position:

We are currently seeking a qualified AutoCAD Drafter/Technician to complement our CAD services team. As a CAD Group member you will support a multidiscipline engineering and surveying team and work directly with staff to develop plans presentation figures survey mapping and proposal graphics with potential opportunities to assist in field work.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Autodesk Civil 3d user who is capable of learning Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads as a unique opportunity to become a dual user with training.

Essential Job Functions:

• Primary function is to support CAD needs directly with engineering and surveying staff for these departments: Civil/Site Highway Structures Traffic and Survey.
• Perform advanced CAD tasks using AutoCAD and Civil 3D (MicroStation is a plus).
• Prepare Contract plans from scratch with mark-ups provided by design and survey staff.
• Adhere to all CME in-house Civil CAD standards.
• Assist in automating processes and standards through the software.
• Perform CAD edits following staff red lines.
• Create graphics and presentation visualizations for projects and marketing.
• Ability to extract details and sections from 3d models for plan creation.
• Responsible for basic QA/QC tasks and review of all CAD work.
• May be requested to assist other groups with field work such as documenting existing conditions traffic counts and field survey.

Job Requirements:

• Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology and/or a CAD Certificate from an accredited program or an approved equivalent. Autodesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD for Design and Drafting or equal a plus.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of previous related job experience preferred
• Continue to gain knowledge and experience by taking an active part in company seminars forums and training in related field through available in-house training and from Autodesk.

Hourly Pay Rate Range: $26.00-$35.00

Pay is based on applicants ability/experience and will be rated accordingly.
