THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Manager Manager of Maintenance and Engineering and Manager of Maintenance while working closely with the other Area Managers the successful candidate will be responsible for all activities on site.
Key Responsibilities/Results
- Provides support and backup to the Maintenance Planner for all maintenance planning and scheduling activities involving maintenance crews.
- Supports the execution of major maintenance and capital projects by coordinating contractors and other requirements as needed.
- Shares responsibility to ensure all personnel are aware of and compliant with all regulations policies procedures and standards and that due diligence is maintained.
Key Actions
- Scheduling of maintenance activities with a focus on electrical activities in conjunction with the Maintenance Planner.
- Participates in special projects assigned with an emphasis on technical solutions to productivity and safety problems.
- Monitors the terminal site to ensure operations and maintenance are progressing as planned.
- Regularly inspects and monitors the progress of field maintenance activities and provides updated schedules as required.
- Coordinates outside contractors and other service providers.
- Supports the Manager Safety to ensure that the health safety and environmental programs are followed and are effective in establishing and maintaining safe working objectives.
Education and Credentials
- Red Seal Electrician or related Technologist Diploma is preferred; Engineering bachelors degree is an asset.
- Experience with Automated Controls Systems is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance preferably within a relevant or comparable industry or on-site experience.
