Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM 7:30 AM) Varies
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in a fast-paced inpatient setting. The unit consists of 32 private rooms and serves a diverse patient population including general medical-surgical and orthopedic cases. This role requires strong clinical skills attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
- Perform patient assessments develop care plans and evaluate outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes
- Collaborate with physicians therapists and other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- AHA BLS certification (required)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required)
- ACLS certification (preferred)
- Strong clinical communication and organizational skills
