Our office Southwest Florida Oral Surgery - Fort Myers in Fort Myers FL is seeking a Treatment Coordinator to join our busy specialty practice.This role also brings an exciting change of scenery youll get to travel to our beautiful Cape Coral and Naples locations while expanding your professional network!
Our office is looking for a talented and pleasant patient care coordinator to take on all administrative and front office duties to provide an exceptional experience to all patients and visitors. Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for making a positive and lasting first impression. The ideal candidate should bridge the gap between customer obsession and clerical management. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information. The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while during their visit which means the following:
Patient Checkout & Financial Processing
Collect patient balances co-payments deductibles and pre-authorized treatment payments.
Process payments via credit card cash check financing programs or payment plans.
Ensure all payments are posted accurately within the practice management system.
Reconcile daily payment transactions and ensure financial accuracy at checkout.
Keep desk tidy and presentable with all necessary material (pens forms paper ect.)
As an essential member of our office you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.
Your Background
You are a resourceful Patient Care Coordinator that strives to ensure patients receive the experience they deserve. Youre a team player that is adaptable to new and challenging tasks. Youre an enthusiastic passionate and collaborative problem-solver who is always proactively striving for excellence. You also have the following:
Minimum 2 years of dental or medical office experience preferably in oral surgery or specialty dentistry.
Strong knowledge of dental and/or medical insurance including benefit breakdown and authorizations.
Experience with treatment planning and financial presentations.
Proficiency with dental practice management software.
Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy.
Excellent communication and patient service skills.
Ability to discuss financial matters with professionalism and confidence
Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
Experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery or surgical specialty practice.
Knowledge of dental procedure codes (CDT) and medical coding familiarity.
Experience with patient financing programs.
Financial coordination
Ability to complete insurance verification and interpret benefits
Ability to communicate and educate patients on their respective treatment plan(s)
Knowledge of Payment processing and collections
Treatment planning presentation
Organization and accuracy

Position Base Pay Range
$17 - $22 USD
