Job Summary

Subject to formal establishment a vacancy will arise for a OF4 to serve as SO1 Joint Concepts 2 at MOD Shrivenham on FTRS (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of START DATE 01 Jun 26 (or earlier/later subject to formal establishment and candidate status) for 2 years.

Unit Function:

To lead conceptual and warfare development of Joint capabilities to contribute to the delivery of the integrated force

Position Role:

Development of joint concepts to shape Defences future.

Responsibilities:

1. Promote an inclusive culture within IWC working to increase understanding and engagement through education and initiative.

2. Lead and project manage discrete projects to inform develop and generate joint concepts including the generation of financial resource bids and supervision of spending profiles.

3. Conduct regular national and international stakeholder engagement up to 1* level across Defence PAG and the S&T industry and academic communities.

4. Contribute to the authorship of joint concept publications at post-graduate level.

5. Provide generalist and specialist input to MSHQ and single Service concept development team outputs.

6. Deputise for AH Joint Concepts in areas of responsibility at national and international committees working groups advisory panels conferences and presentations.

7. Contribute to cross-IWC bespoke projects and document reviews as required.
