Job Summary
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team as a Contractor. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with occupational therapists to provide high-quality patient care. As a COTA you will play a vital role in assisting patients in achieving their therapeutic goals and improving their overall quality of life.
Requirements
- Ability to commute to patients home
- Ability to commute to cases in the general area of Hollywood Miramar Pembroke Pines Weston and Miami Gardens
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
- AHCA Level 2 Background check.
- Valid state licensure or certification as required by local regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in home health environments.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients families and healthcare team members.
- A commitment to providing high-quality care that promotes patient independence and well-being.
- Availability to work weekends and short notice as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized care plans for patients.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising occupational therapist.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress notes.
- Timely documenting visits.
