JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities outlined below include essential functions of the role. Depending on business needs this role may perform a combination of some orallthe following may also arise.
- Work with internal teams and customers throughout multiple programs to develop and manage system architectures subsystem functions and interface requirements for quantum technology platformssuch as sensors clocks and control systems
- Establisha leanstandardized system engineering practices and processes to supportprograms ranging from deep technology R&D toearlyproduct development
- Work with team members across the company torefine and updateourProduct Lifecycle (PLC) policy and workflows tooptimizeefficiency andprocessvalue
- Ensure uniform application ofsystems engineeringtools()and methods across projects
- For selected keyR&Dprojects:
- Define scope ofinternalPLC and associated list of deliverables
- Support and track execution of tasks and deliverables through the phases of the PLC
- Prepare and support gate reviews with project team
- Provide systems engineeringexpertisefor selected keyprojects
- Create core systems engineering documents (requirements interface control architecture test plans etc.)
- Work with multi-functional teams tomaintainsystem configuration and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelors degree isrequired with a focus in engineering science physics or technology field preferred
- 5years of relevant and progressive experience in a similar role withdemonstratedsystems engineering experiencein either complex systems quantum mechanics or complex more than one of these areas.
- Experience with productization andLeanProduct Life Cycle processes
- Demonstrated ability to sufficiently learn the technical details of complex hardwareand softwaresystemsdevelopment to be able to successfully drive processes and procedures for integration testing and qualification
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with all levels of an organization; Professional-level communication skills including verbal written and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work comfortably in a highly collaborative cross-functional team-oriented and matrixed environment
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree in engineering science physics or technology field
- Experience in advanced technologies and high technology products especially products that include a combination of mechanical electrical RF optics and software
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools. Experience usingJamasoftware aplus
- Experience with deployed systems and/or sensors especially forspace-based applications (LEO MEO ISS etc.)
