What youll be doing
The Director Financial Analysis partners with business lines and other functional groups to provide insight and analysis. Our core responsibilities include measuring and assessing business performance analyzing results and recommending improvements providing strategic advice to senior management and supporting the strategic planning and forecasting processes. Our bank relies on our group to make better decisions plan for the future and effectively manage its balance sheet and overall business.

How youll succeed
Financial Planning & Forecasting
Lead the annual planning process and quarterly forecasts for U.S. legal entity results
Analyze financial performance and identify key drivers
Deliver variance analysis with clear actionable insights
Full P&L and balance sheet ownership for reporting and forecasting U.S. legal entities including capital planning
Executive & Board Reporting
Develop and deliver high-quality materials for executive leadership and Board of Directors
Translate complex financial data into clear concise narratives (storytelling)
Ensure consistency accuracy and timeliness of all reporting deliverables
Monthly and quarterly reporting and variance analysis for legal entity results
Reporting Transformation & Process Improvement
Redesign and modernize financial reporting packages to improve clarity relevance and usability
Identify and implement automation opportunities across FP&A processes
Streamline data flows reduce manual effort and enhance controls
Document current processes
Business Partnership
Lead the monthly financial close meetings providing analysis during the close
Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across Finance
Support ad hoc analysis and scenario modeling and needed
Drive a culture of accountability and performance management
Who you are
You possess 8 years of progressive finance experience with significant exposure to corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and reporting
You portray strong understanding of financial statements and legal entity reporting
You are a self-starter with the ability to work independently and provide leadership and effective management of staff
You are able to prioritize and manage multiple requests frequently working under tight time constraints
You show expertise in Excel proficiency in Word and in other data tools such as Alteryx Tableau and PowerBI a plus
You have proven experience supporting executive-level and board reporting
At CIBC we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $165000 - $200000K for the Chicago IL market based on experience qualifications and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business units incentive compensation plan which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
