Position Summary:
The Facilities Supervisor is a hands-on tactical leader responsible for the day-to-day maintenance safety and operation of the organizations facilities grounds and vehicle fleet. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations this role ensures that all physical assets are well-maintained compliant and support high-quality service delivery.
This position executes operational priorities on the ground including preventive maintenance repairs inspections and vendor coordination. The Facilities Supervisor directly supervises facilities staff manages daily work assignments and responds to urgent issues to ensure safe clean and fully functional environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Facilities & Grounds Operations (Hands-On)
Perform and oversee routine maintenance and repair of facilities grounds and equipment including:
o Plumbing (e.g. repairing leaks clearing blockages)
o Electrical (e.g. replacing outlets/switches troubleshooting outages)
o Light construction (e.g. shelving wall repair ceiling tiles)
o General upkeep (e.g. painting lawn care seasonal tasks)
Conduct preventive maintenance (e.g. HVAC upkeep equipment servicing)
Perform snow removal and seasonal property maintenance
Maintain facilities in a safe clean and hazard-free condition
Fleet Management
Oversee the maintenance and readiness of the organizations vehicle fleet
Conduct and document monthly vehicle inspections
Coordinate repairs and support program staff in arranging vehicle service
Ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
Inspections Compliance & Safety
Conduct routine safety walkthroughs and document findings
Complete required inspections and compliance documentation including:
o Quarterly facility inspections
o Monthly checks of emergency lighting and hot water systems
Schedule and coordinate external inspections (e.g. fire building housing vehicle inspections)
Identify and address safety and health concerns promptly
Vendor & Service Coordination
Coordinate and oversee work performed by external contractors
Schedule recurring services (e.g. HVAC fire alarm elevator waste removal shredding)
Obtain quotes and coordinate small-scale projects and repairs
Team Supervision & Work Management
Supervise and schedule facilities staff based on daily and ongoing priorities
Assign and track work orders to ensure timely completion
Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding maintenance needs and project updates
Operations Support & Asset Management
Maintain inventory of tools equipment and supplies
Track and document maintenance activities and service records
Support implementation of systems processes and operational improvements
On-Call & Emergency Response
Participates in and coordinates 24-hour emergency response coverage as needed
Respond to urgent facility or fleet issues to ensure safety and continuity of operations
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Four years of experience can be a substitute for educational requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in comparable work with transferable skills
Valid drivers license and acceptable CORI/background check required
Strong organizational problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hands-on environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting/carrying of up to 25 lbs
Frequent standing walking bending lifting pushing pulling and twisting
Ability to perform physically demanding maintenance tasks in various environments
