Fraser is seeking an Accountant who is responsible for overseeing the organizations general ledger and financial reporting. This role ensures adherence to Frasers accounting policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) while delivering accurate and timely financial information to support organizational needs. The Accountant will also mentor and train members of the accounting team in areas related to the general ledger and financial statements.
Responsibilities:
- Process Fraser and Independent Living/HUD financial close and reports.
- Process Realpage reports for import into Intacct accounting system.
- Review general ledger account activity. Investigate balances that have not cleared communicate clearly with the team and recommend necessary journal entries to resolve open items in an accurate and timely manner.
- Prepare and record closing journal entries identify and research unusual items to close monthly financials accurately and timely.
- Reconcile and/or review corporate bank accounts and employee benefits accounts.
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports to department leaders.
- Import payroll data from UKG payroll software to Frasers financial system.
- Assist with annual audit preparations.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in accounting Business Administration or related field required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting required.
- Computer savvy and experience using various accounting software applications including proficiency in Excel Sage.
- Solid and demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and US accounting practices ability to research analyze and apply new pronouncements to companies activities and introduce suggestions.
- Previous experience with Realpage HUD property management system preferred.
- Previous experience with Intacct accounting software packages preferred.

Schedule Location and Pay:
- Working full time Monday- Friday standard business hours
- Fraser Bloomington MN
- 1 to 2 days remote
- The starting pay range for this role is $73000 to $79000 per year.
