Description:

Title: Part Time Occupational Therapist

Reports To: Executive Director

Role Type: Per Diem

Department/Location: 100% onsite position located at the Andover MA Guidelight Clinic with opportunities to float to other sites (Brighton/Woburn/Quincy/Worcester/Waltham/Norwood/Medford)

Hours: 12p-4p x 2 days/week (days are flexible)

Setting: PHP/IOP

Role Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism upon arrival at the facility.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients physical emotional and cognitive abilities related to their mental health conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to address clients specific needs focusing on improving daily living skills work-related skills and overall quality of life.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including psychologists psychiatrists social workers and counselors to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions treatment options and coping strategies.
  • Monitor and document clients progress adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients in managing stress anxiety depression and other mental health challenges through occupational therapy techniques.
  • Participate in team meetings case conferences and continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices in occupational therapy and mental health.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Experience in a mental health or partial hospital setting required
  • Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • OT Group Experience
  • Experience with Adolescents and Adults

Pay Range

$40 - $65 USD
