What Youll Do:
As a Medication Technician youll play a vital role in providing essential daily care to older adults ensuring their well-being dignity and comfort. If you thrive in a supportive team-oriented environment and love building connections with residents this is the role for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Medications & Treatments Pass medications and provide treatments safely according to care plans.
- Provide Hands-On Care Assist residents with personal care (ADLs) such as bathing grooming dressing and toileting.
- Support Mealtime Help residents enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for overall health.
- Promote Mobility Assist with turning positioning and safe transfers to keep residents moving safely.
- Perform Vital Checks Measure and record vital signs weight and intake/output.
- Maintain Comfort & Care Keep residents rooms tidy cozy and stocked with essentials.
- Respond to Resident Needs Answer call lights promptly and provide compassionate support.
- Monitor Resident Conditions Report any changes to the leadership team immediately.
- Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism Maintain confidentiality while delivering high-quality care.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in medical assisting or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting especially working with seniors or in long-term care is highly preferred.
- Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds independently.
- Technical skills: Familiarity with Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) systems is a plus.
- Medication administration: At least one year of experience administering medications in a healthcare setting is preferred.
